PlaneX Problems

Excel Library Problems when trying to run PlaneX

PlaneX needs five Microsoft reference libraries available in Excel to run correctly. These sometimes get corrupted or were not loaded correctly when Excel was initially installed.

If these are not present on your machine PlaneX will not function correctly and you may get a dialog requesting a password for PlaneX.

How to I get them if they are missing?

1. Open up a new workbook and press Alt F11 at the same time. This brings up the Visual Basic Editor (VBE). From the Tools option, select 'References'.

2. Scroll down the list of references and make sure the five listed above are checked and not missing. If they are labelled as missing you will need to repair Excel. Depending on your version of Windows this can normally be found under 'Settings', 'Programs and Features' for Vista, click on the Office' listing and 'Change.

An option is available to 'Repair' Office.
